Wired has a pretty cool gallery of a new generation of blimps being developed and tested for high altitude intelligence gathering.

These new airships are built of the latest materials and are largely unmanned, designed to stay afloat for extended periods.

Blimps have always been interesting to me. And I especially love how they are used to help differentiate the alternate world in my favorite spec-fic show, Fringe. (BTW, please tune in and keep this amazing show on the air!!! Fox, Friday Sept 23rd, 9pm).
